It means give yourself more credit for who you are and what you can do. It means don't diminish yourself in the eyes of others but be proud of your achievements.
In other words, don't excuse yourself for being inadequate. If you were inadequate, the hottie would not be pursuing the relationship with you. Just acknowledge that it's a good thing that he is interested in you, and see what the two of you can build together from this friendship. Maybe something else, something deeper. Of course, there will come a time when you'll have to tell him you're interested in more. But you need to meet in real life, (again, or for the first time?)

it would actually be for the first time when we meet.. we have talked about the future being our mystery that we both look forward to.. though (as you said) i do sell myself short always worried about my body hair and premature male pattern baldness.. I do know I have more things to cherish in life like my well being, health.. safety.. friends and family.. yet we human beings are are anxious creatures, we always look for something to worry about and never rest for a while...

In addition to selling yourself short and doubting your attractiveness to him, you're also not giving him the benefit of the doubt..which is also selling HIM short. You never know until you do it. Be honest, be true to who you are, and if he really is as great as he seems to be ("caring, loving with a peaceful soul"), then he will overlook whatever physical traits you think he won't like. He'll be into you for you, and not the exterior shell.
