If my dick rubs against my jeans I get an erection. It's an unhandy natural reaction to stimulation of the penis. I had a case of epididymitis about a year and a half ago - when it came back a couple months later, my doctor had to examine my prostate just to make sure that wasn't the issue (it wasn't). Didn't even pop wood then. It wasn't unpleasant at all since he used some kind of magic super lube, but it's a very un-erotic environment and situation.
