Knew a dog once that would retrieve rocks from the bottom of a lake. And not just any rock - twas the rock that his owner threw in. It was quite an amazing spectacle to watch.
Especially since my dogs were scared of getting their feet wet.

That really is extraordinary when you consider that dogs use their sense of smell to locate objects, something that obviously they couldn't do under water.

Those are great photos! I have to say before this I knew some dogs could swim but it had never occurred to me that they could swim under water.....
