When the rubber band snaps
#1
When the rubber band snaps.

I am held together by a rubber band
A thin piece of sanity that is mine
It gets tighter and tighter
And one day it will snap.

Every time I am compared to others
Every time I have my flaws pointed out
Every time winds the rubber band tighter
And one day it will snap.

You say my problems aren’t that big
you say there are people worse off than me
You wind the rubber band tighter
And one day it will snap.

The day the rubber band snaps
The day I am finally pushed to my limits
It will be a glorious day for I will be free
I will finally be able to tell you that I am better, stronger, braver and more than you will ever know
But for now, the rubber band stays intact.

Third paragraph (verse), second line. The Y is lower case.. fix pls.

If you wrote it.. it's nice! I like it. I can relate to the feelings. The second to last line doesn't seem to fit in though. It's too long. There's also a line too many in the final verse.
I usually hate poems though, so maybe I'm not your best critic.

And I just rudely assumed you made the post to get criticism..

It scares me a bit.

It sounds like something someone would write just before heading out to the mall with an automatic weapon.

XD
OR! Somebody who carries the weight of many other peoples problems, worries and is generally just the shoulder everybody cries on and then one day it's enough and the shoulder explodes and lets out its own bagage of emotions and worries!

And I thought this was going to be about using a rubber band for a cock ring.

Put The weight of the world on your shoulders my friend.
YOU can handle it, your strong. If the rubber band snaps, you know what to do.
IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO SNAP.

God Speed, my good friend.Mgwhore2

From a wanna be poet, this is great. This portrays being in control, which I like. With the words spoken, you are still in control.

Our psyche is truly like a rubber band. It has long been stated that it is a very fine line between sanity and insanity. Our minds can be our greatest ally, and also our greatest enemy. It is not always within our power to pick which one it is.

Keep up the good work and share more. I would like to see other's writing as it helps with my own.

The last paragraph could use some editing, but they would be minor changes.

Like the sands through an hour glass.
These are the days of OUR lives.
