My thought exactly! Though some people has made it successfully without teleporting (LOL),but starting a relationship right away with long distance and virtual to add on, been there, almost done that, hesitate to go there again.. Maybe..just maybe..

Why not? We're in a wholesome site for gay people. If there's one place online I wouldn't mind finding someone to date in, it'd be GaySpeak. It certainly makes more sense than, say, finding someone off Tumblr, or even on proper dating sites.

At least here you already get to see how they think based on their posts, vs. relying on what someone writes in their dating profile.

Appearances can be deceiving... Miles comment about having seen a bit of minor negative outcomes actually applies to me... year ago January I had fun with a fella who promised to be the near ideal husband.

Oh boy was I wrong. Very, very, very wrong....

You speak the truth! I have tried a few dating sites (both international and Danish) and they all really suck, to be honest. All about sex, which is something that really annoys me. Maybe I'm a hopeless romantic, but I'd love to get to know someone, fall in love, and, maybe someday, get married. I might be a little old timey Tongue

I'll take that as a huge compliment, LOL!

Next time...ask me. He freaked me out so bad I had to leave this site. My stomach got queasy everytime I read him and ignoring him didn't do the trick because everyone quoted him and fawned all over him. He was majorly creepy IMO

Would I consider it?
Yes, if there was the . right person/lived close/etc, and ofcourse they made the first move ... ( ' consider' being the keyword).
^it'd be slim chance/very lucky if even one of those happened, esp lived close^

In reality its never gonna happen. in general I've long given up on being anything but single (not that single is a bad thing anyway) .. besided I'm unloveable/undateable/etc ...

Woah woah, what happened there? You've sparked my curiosity. Popcorn

As far as "appearances can be deceiving" goes. I agree but, honestly, you can say such to just about anything. Anywhere we go we're bound to encounter a few bad eggs. But when all is said and done, my point remains that GaySpeak is a pretty wholesome site, all things considered. Just look at the discussions here; also, a lot of the active members seem to love participating in adorable word games. If that's not wholesome, then I don't know what is.

Yeah...the guys here are actually very decent and there are no trolls as they don't last very long here so I don't even have to use my ignore feature on this board.

The person we are talking about....he's long gone. I wasn't around when he did the "bad thing" because I couldn't stomach it when I read him and had to leave...
