Wanna share your story of your first love?

AdamAndWill Wrote:(Adam) You're right of course - I know that what Will and I were feeling that first night was infatuation and intense sexual attraction. But he's a romantic, so looking back it becomes love at first sight. But I think we're proof that a situation like that can develop into something, since we've lived together for 5 1/2 years and are getting married in January...

Yeah, you guys definitely are. Smile I'm just really picky with correct term sometimes, haha. :p

Lovely story btw Jake, finally I got to hear the full story of how you and Alex met. Baer

I was 10 years old when Lexy (Alex) moved with us, dad has won the right to be my guardian when he bought that new condo and few months later an amazingly good looking boy came in to live with us. I fell in love with him immediately, but not the teenage love I really was all about Lexy. I know my dad was gay and he explained to me that Lexy was his boyfriend, but I couldn't understand back then how such a beautiful guy could love penises that much. Everything was amazing about Alex, his laugh, his smile HIS BODY I also was in love, but this was an impossible love first I was way too young and he was gay and my dad's boyfriend over all. So, yes I admit it my first great love was daddy Lexy.

To be honest, I still have a thing for Lexy, older he gets better he looks. But I know now that he's untouchable, he has my dad's name written on every part of his body LOL. I started calling Alex daddy when I turned 13 when I understood that this was impossible love, but i'm glad to have him as a dad he's the best daddy one can expect - after daddy Jake of course LOL.

Lexy is looking more and more like his dad, Grand-dad Thomas who was a very attractive man all the way to his death last year, grand dad was blond just like Lexy and even though he was 62 one couldn't put an age to him... I believe Lexy got his side of the gene. Daddy Lexy is turning 28 tomorrow, and he still can pass for my younger brother lol.

My first love is Gideon. We're still together.

I met Gideon when I was 19 on an interactive storytelling site (literary roleplay). He'd been on the site for some years and was with someone else. I was new to the site. I played in a RPG separate from where he was playing, and the woman I had hooked up with on the site at the time (both for roleplay but also cybering now and then) tugged me over into the RPG that Gideon was playing in.

I started roleplaying with Gideon and his friends, although I didn't talk to him outside of in-character RP. I found him extremely intimidating. In fact, there were a number of times I had to leave play because I kept getting these weird "tense" feelings around him I couldn't explain.

I didn't actually talk to him outside of roleplay until I'd known him a few months. He broke up with his partner and I had heard he was really hurting a lot. His partner had been using a (turns out fake) illness to manipulate him into staying with them for a really long time. I reached out and said that I was sorry for what happened between them and if he needed an ear or a shoulder, my mailroom was open. He messaged back and we started talking and.... things just progressed from there.

Little did I know until a good time later on.... Gideon had been lurking on my roleplay since something like the first week I entered the site and crushing on me the whole time. Through a handful of months and a number of odd random events, I ended up dropping right into his lap. *LOL* Six years later, here we are.

My first love...I was an immature and toxic little shit.... and a walking nightmare .....

.....at the time I thought the problem was him....

The details are messy.

I'd do it all again though because today I am a sum of all my experiences and if I changed one thing I might change everything.

Darn right it does!

and it can happen while you're still young! I was 4 days short of being 20 years old when it happened to me. It was the first look that did me in.

Here's the catch. It took over two years for him to get it in his head that he and I ought to try to be a couple.

AND there's no such thing as a good healthy fulfilling relationship that doesn't come with some heartaches, growing and most of all WORK and I mean real work and a lot of it. You have to keep your ego from making decisions before your heart does. Keep it honest. and most of all, keep it fun. And don't forget it all takes work, like everyday.

If you're still at a point you'll throw off a relationship the first time you're disappointed or hurt you have no business calling what you're doing a relationship.

If you're still at the point you'll argue about clothes, furniture or other trivial things then you're letting your ego make decisions about things and you'll throw away a relationship to keep a favorite pair of jeans or an ugly chair you've had for years. How stupid is that?

Jake Wrote:Same here, the very first day I met Alex it was an immediate thunder strike, even though he threw up on me, but before he did, we had quite a long chat. But here's how it happened. I met Alex I was 29 and he was 19, it just so happened that a friend of mine was launching a party for March break - I wasn't in school anymore, but as a graduate from the same university, I do sometimes go back and assist my fellow students. Alex was introduced to me by a friend, he believed that I could help him overcome his latest breakup so he asked me to have a chat with Alex who was totally depressed.

Back then I was in a relationship with a girl, the mother of my son Joshua. At first, I did not think much of Alex, yes, when I saw that tall blond guy standing up in front of me, I can't say I didn't have dirty thoughts, I had in front of me a beautiful (way too beautiful) guy, he was a bit tipsy, but I wasn't drunk enough yet not to notice his perfect being. He was like a dream come true. I always had a thing for natural blond twink, but that dude was too much, he seemed to me as he was coming out from one of those annoying American sitcoms where all girls and boys are beautiful, even the fat ones. Basically, I was told already that he was gay, but I didn't know what kind of demons was eating him alive.

So here I was talking with this amazing twink about relationship, advising him how to get back on its feet and trying my best to avoid looking at him straight in his eyes, otherwise I would have definitely lose my cool with him, and even though I know it would have been quite easy to take advantage of him, I kept my control and put on my professional suit. Remember, I said he barfed on me? Well, it was my fault, because I did order another drink for us and I knew he had quite enough already. After he finished drinking its last glass, he said he wasn't feeling good so I walked him out on the porch and when we hugged, because he was crying, it was too late to back up and he threw up on me.

The next scene was too beautiful, forget about the fact that I had his last drinks all over me, he felt so bad, he went on apologizing a thousand times. That's when our eyes crossed each other eyes and that's when I knew I liked him. So I called up a taxi, and climbed in with him. That night that taxi ride cost me a good 75 dollars because Alex was living at his aunt's way far from where I was living, but I didn't want to let him go all by himself. I got him out of the taxi and walked him home and even made sure he was in his bed before I left. His aunt also thanked me a thousand time lol.

As I said I did keep his jacket, that was after our eyes crossed, because before, I would have just dump him home and forget all about him, but when our eyes crossed I knew there was something in there, sure he was my dream boy, but it was more powerful than just the sexual attraction. I had a long talk with Alex, we talked for 2 hours where he was telling me about his past, how he found out he was gay, how people judge him, how his beauty got only shit for him etc. I made him laugh many times and that loud laughing of his still resonates in my head while I’m writing this.

Two days later, I decided to give him a call and set a rendez-vous to give him back his jacket, since I was not planning on drinking that day I drove all the way to his aunt’s and picked him up. I am also a very reserved and shy guy, YES all of you there saying that you’re shy and stuff, I understand you perfectly because I am also very shy, even though I can be loud sometimes, I’m more of the silent kind. So no need to tell you that I was quite nervous, because Alex was just the kind of guy that so many people fall immediately in love with him, he’s just too hot. Although I don’t consider myself ugly, I did myself believe that he was wayyy out of my league. But Alex was super happy to see me, kissed me on the cheek twice and climbed in the car, took his jacket and thanked me again for all I did and we stopped at a coffee shop and talked some more. That is when I announced him that I was in a relationship with a girl and that’s where I understood that Alex did fancy me because he really did look sad about that news, but we kept on seeing each other several times afterward, we became friends. He came several times to my house and met my girlfriend and my son. And one night, a night where my son and girlfriend were away we were alone in the house and we decided to have a midnight skinny dip in the pool. That was one huge mistake, up until then Alex didn't know I fancy him, when he got naked and dove in the pool I've got a major erection that couldn't go away and well you guess the rest he got hard too and we end up kissing. And it end ups in the bedroom.

Afterward, we went at least for a two months without seeing each other, we were texting and emailing often, but we decided that it wasn't a good idea to see each other again since neither I or him could control our instincts.

During that two months, I went through a lot of questioning myself regarding my actual relationship. It’s not that I didn't like my girlfriend, but for many years I had regressed my gay persona and now that I had this amazing hot looking guy in my mirador I started questioning myself again. And this time Alex was the one who helped me through it.

I invited him home and told him that I was in love with him and he confirmed that he also was found of me and from that day on, I decided to have a talk with my girlfriend who surprisingly was very understanding. We split, I gave her the house, the car and Joshua’s responsibility and I bought a condo and three months later Alex was moving in. I kept very good relation with my girlfriend, to what level you would ask? Well, she is Jasmine's mother.

Jasmine is Alex’s natural daughter, I arranged with my ex to become egg donor for Alex, she was there with us when we got married and she’s still with us as I write this.
Yes, this was quite an adventure, I took a large risk, but I also remained honest to all of them and that’s why there’s no jealousy, animosity or envy between all of us and I have my dream boy and he has his dream husband. My ex-girlfriend has two beautiful kids with two men she loves and respect.

Thanks Jakey for those wonderful years you did change my life for the better, that jacket is in the attic at my aunt and it will never get away from there, because of it I met the love of my life TRUE LOVE. I love you to pieces Smile

I enjoyed your post Jake!

And the moral of the story is one to remember>>> When the chemistry is there all the obstacles just seem to come together and everything works out! You went from being 2 single dads to become something bigger than either of you ever imagined!

Will: Exactly. Adam and I have certainly had our share of differences, but none that were worth losing each other over.

And obstacles? Over the past months I've presented him with 2 huge could-have-been obstacles --- the prospect of raising my sister's child and the need to provide care for my father. He never batted an eyelash. The kid has taken to calling him daddy --- and he's over at the hospital just now, persuading my dad to move in with us.

So, if we're talking about first love - I guess I never knew what the word love meant until I met him.

Read what I underlined and bolded above.

Maybe we need to combine forces and recruit a few other GS people to teach that to all the people struggling to make relationships work.

That is the key to making things work. It's what we describe as our sense of being an "us" and not just a him and a me. The "us" always comes first.
