I have to admit that at 17 even 19, my long blond hair, and gray eyes were those of a feature of a girl, I was so much girl looking but not girl acting that I made many girls jealous when I was in junior high.

For me all guys would seem confused between jealousy and suspicion, I'm more like the smooth, cold-nerved masculine guy who will never break down nor fall for anyone. As teens their arrogance grow to become hatred, and the main reason was their fear that I'd "steal" one of their girlfriends. It's never easy for me, they struggle a lot to bring me down and I endure loneliness even when I always end up having the upper hand on them.

Oh, I've been there and have been severely beaten for it too. That's why girls became too dangerous for me. I was not interested in them, but they were all interested in me.

I was never big on school, but I liked the beginning of the Autumn season.

not at all excited, and i don't want it to start. i've been away from college for 3 years now. and it was an on-and-off thing all throughout my 20s. if i don't go back this fall, i.e. next month, they will throw me out. and it's my second college already. i quit the first midway through. the worst thing is that i really like what i'm studying (in both cases) i'm interested in pursuing it, and if not that then at least it's something that fascinates me. and rationally i know that i should get my shit together and finish my studies. but i don't know if i will. it's funny, i've gotten all the scholarships and i don't have to pay a cent for my studies. and i excel at it too; i really pissed the professors in my first college off when i quit. and i don't know if i can go through with it.

I hated school. I was fortunate that I could get through it without paying much attention, so I didn't pay much attention. I dropped my studies after floundering from major to major for a few years. The only thing l really liked was the school of music, but I already had a career job and I lacked the courage to reduce my standard of living to follow my heart as a musician. After years I decided to complete a degree and found one that my accumulated credits would allow me to complete in the shortest time, and I went to school full-time while working full-time because I knew if I didn't get through it fast I'd quit it again.

But once that initial "required" degree was completed my attitude changed, because any other learning is up to me. I've taken courses in all sorts of things that interest me, and actually like structured learning. I'm seriously thinking of taking a Master of Arts, probably in photography, which I really enjoy. I'd probably never do anything with it in my current career, but retirement for me will be starting another career, and I can't think of anything more fun than traveling around the world photographing it. I've thought seriously about fitting out a motorcycle to hold camera gear and clothing and going on an extended road trip. I think you can get closer to people and places on a motorcycle than in a car.

Of course it could be me rationalizing a reason to buy a really hot pair of leather chaps Smile

What ever happened to the smell of autumn. Leaves and apples and crisp air with a little smoke. I miss it.

School? Couldn't deal with it these days, but a good book and even something to research online and elsewhere, even writing for the fun of it, are all welcome.

My son Josuah, 14, is starting high school, my daughter Mary Sandy will be continuing her Computer science degree here in Canada after spending 6 months in Pune, India, My husband going back to teaching History and in the same time than managing the business he'll be studying for its Doctorate in Anthropology and Sacha is entering kindergarten, 80% of our family are students.

So how is it for you? Are you eager to start a new school year?

I'm paying all those kids books and school years including yours and mine... I am not happy about it hahahahaha. But ignorance like I've seen from some members in the board is one thing I don't want my family and husband to be afflicted with. So in some way I'm happy with it.
