you'd be a chick since my mom doesn't believe homosexuality exists. i wouldn't show up for the date. i'd tell my mom i wasn't going but she wouldn't believe that either.

If you were someone my mother would set me up with, you probably are very well educated, probably work in a field where you are helping people. To have made a good impression on her, I'd assume you were clean cut, very polite, and warm. My mom has high standards.
In terms of what we'd do, I like food, so it'd start with lunch or dinner. After that it would depend on our chemistry and what I found out about your interests during the meal.

If my mother set us up on a blind date, it's because you come from a "good family" and not because she knows anything at all about you. All I'd know about you is that your parents had money. Since my mother could rarely even pick out a shirt I'd like, I'd assume her choice in men for me would be even worse.
Since the date is up to me, I'd choose tea or coffee in a noisy cafe, because that would give me a quick exit. If by some miracle I actually enjoyed your company, I'd have my schedule open after the cafe and suggest we keep hanging out further.

IF my mother ever tried that stunt again it you better be a sexually insatiable buff stud with 8 pack abs, black hair and eyes who owns an international chain liquor stores.
When I was 22-- during the tough times with Jay -- she tried that once. She told me the guy was tall, owned and piloted a plane, thirty-ish, a former model, owned a travel agency and went to the gym nearly everyday. She said he'd been interested in me since she showed him pictures of me and told him I was gay. She left out the facts that he was going to tell me all about his all plastic surgeries, pec implants on the way to dinner and that his travel agency was a euphemism for an escort service he wanted to recruit me for. He wanted to see my weenie before dinner. I told him I wasn't that hungry and got out at a red light and walked into a straight bar. He's in prison now for trafficing cocaine with his airplane.
Mom is still having trouble keeping me from reminding her of all that.
