IDK does your computer have good tastes in porn???
I take it you have an older computer with an older graphics card...?
I know with this one, nearly 12 years old with a graphics card hella out of date it doesn't like things like animated images, video adverts and even some of those sites which are designed for Iphones and not for good and proper computers.
I use a product called Ghostry:
https://www.ghostery.com/en/ and block nearly all of the listed addresses in its glossery.
Since doing so my browser goes a bit faster and my computer doesn't spaze out on most sites.
I have discovered that disabling the effects of windows appears to keep its graphics card from complaining.
Another product I use to speed up my machine in general is Ccleaner:
https://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER
Whenever I install/uninstall a program or do updates I run the register cleaner. About once a month I run the registry cleaner and the windows and applications cleaner. Not only do I clean out the cookies of firefox I also clean out prefetch and other things like event logs and such.
Cookies are kinda sorta cheeky little things. If you use automatic signin I strongly suggest backing up your usernames and passwords and clean that out every-so-often - I think the name is auto-complete on the Ccleaner.
Also may want to consider updating/patching things like ActiveX, Java/Adobe and other things. And if your card/board for graphics is still supported you may want to do an uninstall of the current graphics software and install the newest version. That would be done after going to 'safemode' so you would need to download the graphics software, store it on the desktop, reboot into safemode and uninstall, reboot again into safemode and install the new.
As for the computer hanging on programs that don't want to close. Usually when its asking for permission its because the program isn't closing fast enough. If you wait it will close by itself.
I write down whatever it is and see if there is an update, patch, whatever for the program - of it the program is even needed. For instance I was having issues with Apples Itunes updater. I had to uninstall and reinstall the whole apple software (which BTW has to be done in a certain order or your screwed - Thanks apple)
Lastly... Computers pick up a lot of dust and debris... I use my vacuum cleaner with the 'wand' attachment and hold it about an inch away from stuff inside to suck out the majority of the accumulated dust. That alone tends to boost performance as the machine can cool itself off.
There is specialized compressed air containers which are moisture free use for blowing debris out of components - I use that about once a year to blow out extra whilst running the vacuum to catch flying debris.
Mind do this when your computer is off and unplugged. I do it outside since dust does blow around a bit. This valley is a dusty dirty place...
Hope something out of all of that helps ya.
