South Carolina continues to be a mess:

As of Wednesday afternoon, the [US} Supreme Court was still considering a request by state officials in South Carolina to delay same-sex marriages in that state, after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit had refused a postponement. If the Justices do not act by noon Thursday, such marriages could begin in the state, because the state supreme court on Wednesday lifted an earlier delay order that had applied throughout the state.

I went to our local small town breakfast cafe this morning at 5:30. That's where all the old retired guys and farmers go to talk politics. They were all excited to talk to me about Montana and ask what I know about how things are going here about marriage equality. They wanted to know news on my guy -- they all like him, especially the waitress, hahahha! One of them, a real old guy with a gay grand daughter, reminded me that he and his wife wanted invitations to the wedding.

It's been almost 4 years since I moved here. Back then these guys were part of the conspiracy to get me to leave. This summer they pushed to get me appointed to the Planning Zoning Board. I danged sure didn't want to be on the board but I didn't say no because of what it meant. The guys who tried to force me to move are now my best friends in town politics.

How did that happen? One person at a time. You can change the world that way. If you don't believe it, try it.
