Catepillars and moths before and after

I'm posting this for no other reason that it is fascinating and beautiful to anyone interested in nature. The last photo is really astonishing.

Gorgeous photography.

Never been a big fan of most insecta photos, although transformation pictures like these are incredible. Imagine a puberty like that!

Wow, some of those transformations were pretty remarkable. I always understood the basic idea of metamorphosis, but I never realized quite how much their appearance changed... I always had this image in my mind of a butterfly just being a skinnier, winged variant of his caterpillar form, with longer legs xD
