Ah, the joy of youth not to care...

On the one hand money is just little round bits of metal, crinkly bits of paper or numbers on a bank statement, which I admit is not something in itself to get excited about. However on the other hand, money is keeping a roof over your head, being able to heat the air under it, some good food and drink, the chance to get away from the dreariness of every day life for a week or two, etc.

However there is also another reason. The 'pink pound' is the same colour as everybody else's. I have never been discriminated against when I am the paying customer, most people are prepared to put their prejudices aside and think of the money.

So you just work for the money, whats wrong with a tramp drawing if they didn't like doing it they would be pissing themselves on the pavement doing nothing except begging.
I think I would prefer to work for something to do, I really don't give a shit about money, it isn't my reward its just something to put you in a socialist state, sounds the opposite to a reward to me.

I think I've changed my opinion on you Welcome

Totally agree with ya Card. Seems everybody is going GREEDY GREEDY GREEDY forgetting all about what really matters!

Had my own biz, sold the most beautiful clothes made with love and care. Had some success but it was small, real small and is a tough biz. LOVED every second of that work and walking thru the supermarket and seeing some hunk wearing our tee shirt... well, ya cant imagine the beats the heart can put out - a reward money will never give ya Bow

You really don't care whether you can afford a home of your own, to go for a night out with friends, nice clothes to wear, perhaps take a significant other for a romantic weekend away?

Also if everybody work for something they would like to do we would live in a society over-run by artists, actors and counsellors and have nobody to clean the streets, maintain the sewers or run the power stations! I certainly have better things to do other than my job if I didn't need the money.

Perhaps I should have said we would be over-run by wannabe-actors, artists, etc.

So I should be a sheep, just follow what everone else is doing.
I don't see nothing wrong with not affording those social 'luxuries' when I'm doing something I'm enjoying.
I can't afford anything right now, and I'm happy with a nackered out laptop and the internet, I can aim at getting more money but it doesn't mean as much to me as a job I enjoy doing is.

Think about it in the UK standard working hours are from 9 to 5 you will be eating and breating your job so why should you waste half your life (literally) doing a job you hate just for those small hours you have to go out clubbing?
