This whole concept is quite interesting to me. I have been one to believe in cause and effect, a reason for all things... including being gay.

In my thoughts on this I often entertained the notion that early primates, the hunters and gatherers which were male probably had turned to their male companions while on their hunt for comfort, support and sex while away from the female and perhaps somehow this brought same sex attraction in to the dna of the human race.

Today we see str8 men "bonding" around activities that require bodily contact (sports) and nudity (the locker room), the slaps on the ass and hugs show up as well, the sweat producing pheromones.

I might be a little "out there" and in the end it changes nothing, some of us are "overtly" gay, others, perhaps covertly.

That is an interesting theory and -- if it is true -- one has to wonder how we got to the place where the stereotypical gay man is averse to such activities... emphasis on stereotypical as we all know guys who defy stereotypes.

Maybe closeting is hiding the truth, Shifty. Could be a that a lot of those macho deer hunters and fishermen are really gay or gayish and that our anecdotal statistics are skewed.
