We had to play football every week at school, which was a bit crap since I was terrible at it - if I wasn't careful, I'd just ruin everything and people wouldn't be very happy about that. I think I preferred playing soccer to Gaelic football, since I thought it was less complicated. In Gaelic football, you take two steps and then bounce the ball, then you take another two steps and 'solo' it (throw it downwards and kick it back upwards into your hands) and you carry on doing that for as long as you have to ball, I think. I couldn't solo the ball so I just tried to get rid of it as soon as I could. I was terrible at kicking the ball and getting it to go where I wanted it to, but luckily in Gaelic, you're allowed to 'fist' the ball. In Gaelic and soccer, I just stayed in 'defence' and tried to look busy. I kind of enjoyed it, but it was a bit scary because people were a bit hostile towards you if you were crap and messed everything up.
