Well, it's winter for many people and some are undoubtedly suffering from coughs, colds and sneezes with the resulting unpleasant effects, so I thought you like to know what it all means:

Sorry CellarDweller, didn't mean to upset you. Some medical themes are more unpleasant that that and as I said, for those us in Winter, it's quite interesting to know what's happening and why.

Still, this is very useful information and anyone who does not know it by now certainly should. Thank goodness for the wisdom of my mother the nurse.

suffering from cold few times a year and the cycle goes usually on this way:

1. the first state: sore throath
2. the second state: clear leaking from your nose, throath maybe getting worse
3. the third state: throath is full of cactuses, the nose is leaking, slimy and white stuff when sneezing.
4. the fourth state: throath is getting better, nose is blocked, when sneezing lots of slimy white/yellowish stuff comes out
5. the fifth state: throath is fine, nose is totally blocked, hard or impossible to sneeze... if you sneeze hard or having a finger in your nose it may start bleeding too abit.
6. the sixth state: you feel that you can actually breath alittle bit through your nose
7. the seventh state: things go better... you get air more and more...
8. the eight state: you feel normal until it starts all over again...

and the cycle lasts 7-21 days...

can i have a doc license now? please?
