As long as you are dependent on the world to provide happiness for you, you will never have it.
Happiness originates in your heart and spills out on the world, not the other way around.

It also helps to be around generous people. One can be raised in an unsupportive environment, or among those prone to dragging you down.
When that happens, you have to break away and learn to find happiness as a choice. It is harder for those people. It is our privilege when we find them in our paths to help show them the way. |
