As a young adult, in my 20s, I always cautioned myself about masturbating too often. I thought that if I did it too much (like when I was a teenager) that it would decrease stamina or that I may not be able to get off during intercourse. After a few years of college (went to college for Anatomy & Human Sexuality & Sexuality Therapy), I quickly found out that was completely not true.
For me, and I'm sure a lot of other men, masturbating is very relieving- and not in just a sexual way. It also gives the opportunity to explore thoughts and fantasies you may not always want to say out loud. It's a bonding experience within yourself, and gives you the opportunity to treat yourself to something, if done the right way, amazing.
At 32, I can proudly say that I masturbate at least twice a day. Once in the morning (always have morning wood), and once before bed. If my day isn't hectic, on a day like today, I can masturbate up to 4 or 5 times.
