Thanks Rareboy!
#1
I have to thank you Rareboy because it just occured to me how much I like and prefer the term "homo"....I like it so much better than gay ...or the dreaded LGBTFDSTREJJK5FC95476...and "fag" is not even on the table for me....

My thanks...I am a beast when it comes to letting anyone define anything for me and I have contempt for alot of words and terms.....

So.... I am going to adopt homo now...it feels comfortable and ...right for me. It's a perfect fit. I wasn't sure how I felt when I first heard it...didn't like it initially...but now I love it

I also recently decided to ambrace the term
"socialist" .....I wouldn't get on the bandwagon with the "progressive" label because it showed me that liberals let the far right define them....and I was defiant. I settled for "far left" to show I was a liberal from their nightmares...but now that I settled on socialist....it feels right for me....and it is correct.

So...I am a socialist homo :muscle-flexing-smil

Thanks!!!!

I have always preferred it to the sugary and cloying 'gay' As I've said, I'm Presbyterian. With one of the authors of the English protestant bible in the family tree. That pretty much precludes gay.

I'm also not queer, because I am not a deviation from the norm. I am part of the normal spectrum.

And I'm not bi-sexual because I have never had either desire or experience with a woman.

but when I was a kid....we used to drink Homo Milk. Seriously. And I always thought that it was good and satisfying. And when I discovered that homosexual meant same sex attraction....and that this state informed everything in my life...even when I wasn't being sexual.

I took on homo. And for the last 40 or so years....I have only ever referred to myself in this way.

Now, for those who prefer other terms...please believe me....it is all good. If you prefer gay or god knows what....work with it.

Cheers.

You must be some kind of maladjusted closet homophobe not to like LGBTFDSTREJJK5FC95476. I mean it's so all inclusive and unique.

Hahahhahahah! okay bull shit over. I don't think any of you guys doubt how I feel about the whole labeling game. I've ranted about it far too much already.

It's still 4 months until the wedding and both of us have heard people use the terms "husband" or "partner" so often that now we bite heads off when we're called those things. It makes my skin crawl to hear someone call Jay my husband and he's the same way when someone calls me his.

As for using the word partner. That's totally out because of the confusion of me having a business partner. There's no damned way we want the create any sort of rumor fodder about the three of us all being "partners" in the new lame definition of the word.

Jay's my guy or if you want to be formal, my man. That's all it takes. It's pretty nice now to get 2nd hand reports of people correcting others about it. A couple of weeks ago I got a phone call from a neighbor who'd walked into a conversation at the bank about me and Jay with one of the employees explaining to a customer he should just call us each others' guys.. or a pair.. or a couple.. or spouses.. but to NEVER call us husbands to our faces.

I try BF..lover....partner..husband..soulmate...none of them feel right for me...

The closest I can come is EXACTLY what you said "my guy...my boy...my man"...they all work..

Of course..I have other affectionate names for him..but only his ears will ever hear them LOL

Way back in the day, I insisted on not being called "gay" - I insisted on being called "a guy who digs other guys". Maybe I should go back to that.

we use the word "guy" most the time between ourselves as an endearment and when referring to each other to others. It flows easy and it's casual and unpretentious. It's the best option and FUCK all the trendy PC crap.
"Meet my guy Jay,"
"He's been my guy for nine years"
"Go ask my guy,"
"Let me ask my guy,"

See how it flows so well? It's just natural and easy.

"My guy" makes me think of Mary Wells. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing.
