Hey, I wasn't "going on" I was just suggesting that one may want to consider a view that takes cognizance of what God would want.

The God that I talk about is what I believe to be the One True God (the God from the Bible,as you suggest as well)
You are correct, there are many posts that talk about spending a worthwhile life, caring for others and that is great! My comment suggests (I think) that one should not only consider the "here and now" and live a good life (or we consider to be good) but have a view to eternity.

I did not condemn as I realise that to point a finger would be hypocritical as I am, as you suggest, a sinner. I have many sins, not the least of which is sometimes lustfully looking at woman.


Thanks for the welcome.I am "gay friendly" in terms of the fact that I do not hate gays or condemn them. This however does not prevent me from having specific views about such practices.

Jesus was a friend to sinners like us and had this to say
" Luk 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. " Lucky for us. It just struck me that the righteous only regard themselves as righteous. Thinking yourself righteous proves the opposite. It is only when we realise that we are sinners, that we come to God through Jesus.

See, the written word of mans interpretation of The God just really confuses this poor sinner and most preachers confuse me even more and priest usually go into strange tongues... so I really really do want to understand all this and check that I am correct about being accepted thru the golden gates when I arrive at them.

It always surprises me that most Christians really dont know their bible and I often know it better than them from my early early childhood Saturday bible studies, that was until I fell out of the church around the fifth grade due to all the hypocrisy of the preacher and church members... really nasty people who claimed to be Christians...
