I dunno, it'd have its advantages. But only if you were like an elf in one of Tolkien's novels or soemthing...

Think how amazing it'd be then. Elves are hot. And you'd get to live around these stupidly wise and attractive people for eternity and have AMAZING ELF SEX every day for the rest of forever.

Otherwise i think life is long and complicated enough (irrespective of how short it is retrospectively...)

One that is guaranteed is we will all die sometime if not in 2012 maybe in another time... Thing is these are all from acient teachings. I wouldn't worry about the end of the world, babes, because if it does happen in our life, we won't be able to know anything about it until we walk past our own body in spiritual form

as where your correction wouldnt communicate the idea as the changes ya made, while maybe correct, and may communicate the same idea, is less commonly straight forward

tbh, it kinda reminds me of my insane matey who is constantly correcting me about a date, day , time as we are on different time zones so his Monday is my Sunday and my evening is his morning... and it just STOPS communication abrumptly when he obviously knows what I am refering to

I find it very reassuring that we are all going to die and it doesn't half focus the mind on what is important. Freddy Mercury got it right: "Who wants to live for ever!" And as for life after death: you cannot be serious. Not for me thanks. Let me decompose in peace. I think you have to think yourself pretty important to want to live for ever. Make room for the next generation. I love living now but don't want to be around when we are hit by an asteroid or whatever.
