Before I retired I was a machinist. The shop was not air conditioned, it got hot.
We had 2 large overhead doors, one at each end of the plant, in line with each other.
Of course they acted like a wind tunnel, blowing blue prints and such around, but the air felt good.

The plant manager wanted them closed, he hated to see prints blowing around, he told his suck butt buddy to tell the guys that keeping the doors closed would "keep the humidity out".
Most of the crew bought it, I told them that they were "mentally challenged" but I did not go PC on the terminology.
