What do you do when you have a virus?

What do you do when you have a virus?

Scream and run around?
Cry because you think you've lost everything?
Realise there is bigger sh*t in the world?

Or figure a way to fix it?

What anti-shitware do you use?

[shitware = virus, trojan, adware, spyware, malware etc].

I use:

Malwarebytes.
Microsoft Security Essentials.
CCleaner.
AdwCleaner.

Buy a new computer...and I am not joking....

I have let a guy before take remote control of my computer to fix it...but now it is just easier to get another computer...

I have Norton installed already so I figure if it got around that I am screwed...

I have Avast installed and use CCleaner and some other programmes. I did get a virus recently that changed my search engine for some completely unknown one as well as disabling AdBlock. I called in my IT expert who I have known literally since he was a baby, and it cost him three hours work to fix things. For small things he can work remotely via TeamViewer.

I've had both McAfee and Norton in the past and hated both of them. They both slowed down my compouter to an irritating level. I'm one of those suspicious people who believes that a lot of viruses are invented by anti-virus companies to make you upgrade.....................at a cost.

I'd probably have a fit. I'd throw my laptop on the ground and stamp on it, shattering it to pieces. Computers fucking up can be scary. Of course, it was scarier when I was younger.

Spybot is also a good one, and it's free...

All together, I use Malwarebytes, Spotbot, and Sophos Anti-virus.

Actually, my first thought was to drink lots of liquids and suffer.

As for the computer sort of virus, I now use Avast and have not had any problems. McAfee and Norton do indeed truly suck.
