Good question! I think maybe anything you find in a metaphysical bookstore though alot of that is spiritual as well...they kinda intermingle anyway...

LOL...then you would love my bookshelf. That is all that is on it. I do like some archeology and ancient history stuff as well..

In the metaphysical realm..I like Eastern Philiosophy ...I Ching ...Tao...journey of the soul...positive affirming philosophy...wicca...most things that have to do with the soul and the spirit...nature...

I don't really dismiss many things...I am more interested in considering the possibilities that exist.,..

I definitely reject fear based religion and the people who use it as a weapon :eek:

Well...hmmmm...if you haven't read anything yet...I would maybe suggest to begin a little farther east to India...Jiddu Krishnamurti...anything by him. The best thing to do is browse a Metaphysical Bookstore. Make sure you have a couple of hours...or a whole afternoon....I usually spend the whole afternoon there. The reason...you just start reading and when something kinda jumps at you or makes you feel excited or drawn to it..that is what you should read...

"The Truth" reveals itself in layers...and on different levels...and (just my opinion) your soul is always looking to live in the truth...

The secret is to learn to listen to the soul. It isn't easy...too much false personality and illusions in the way...most of it forced on you...some of it we choose....

Crickets are a beautiful sound. But you are only hearing them subjectively. The sound might not really exist in all probable reality.

You're actually hearing a collection of sinewaves at different frequencies and amplitudes, thus forming the unique pattern of sound that you perceive as the "cricket chirp".

Wait. This is not paranormal stuff. It is quantum mechanics and audio physics.
