Ambient Music (Longform Pieces)

Anyone here enjoy longform ambient/drone music? Like pieces lasting from 20 minutes to over an hour?

It's well named as drone. To me, it was like listening to someone hum the same few notes over and over in a tuneless way. Not my thing.

I , over a period of time, warmed to most of sunn's material, and now i actually kind of enjoy them.
here's a listen if anyone is interested.
Other than that, not alot of other examples come to mind though.

Haha long drawn out tones is the idea behind drone. However, tuneless it is very much not. This particular piece was formed using timestretch on another piece of music of mine which features delicate pianos melodies harmonising with smooth chords. Very tuneful.

sorry, but i been listening to them for so long that i kind of got use to it. But if you think that's bad, you should go to there live shows, from what i hear you can FEEL how loud they play.
