My 70s queen was Donna Summer. Love her, still play her music pretty regularly.



Around that time there was 'disco' and 'funk'. Then the 80s splintered it up and it was 'club', 'house', 'techno', 'garage', 'freestyle', Hi-NRG'

Back in 1978..I was 21 at the time....I was in a little tiny used record store on Polk Street in San Francisco...it had kinda dim lighting..and this guy came up to me out of nowhere and handed me this album. He had steely gray eyes and looked right into mine and he made me shiver a little bit...and he told me all about this album and suggested I buy it..so I did....

Anyone else remember Hazell Dean? She was popular in the early-mid 80s when Hi-NRG was becoming big in the clubs.

Similar to "So Many Men, So Little Time", Hazell's "Searchin' (I Gotta Find A Man) became a hit in the gay clubs.
