40 Different Kinds of Fruit
#1
Mark saw this on CNN and pointed it out to me. Sort of incredible, I think. Other than the artist rendition of the tree 10 years in the future it is real.

It's a wonderful idea that should catch on quickly with regular homeowners who don't have a big enough yard to plant several fruit trees on their property.

Where I live,,, it would be much easier to cover one fruit tree in plastic during the winter to keep it from dying,, than covering several fruit trees. I'm all for it!!!

I knew it was going to be the tree, but there was a sliver of me that thought it would be this.

Well, you can already buy trees with 3 - 6 types of fruit on it, and it's been possible to do that for decades. So this is nothing new. Also the artist's rendition that all 40 scions are going to bloom at once is not going to happen. And if you buy one be really careful when pruning, because you could mistakenly prune out entire varieties.

What is "different " here Camf..
No one has taken grafting to that level..

To graft a base plant 39 times and nurture it to succeed is extremely difficult ..

This guy's life is about grafting. .
He's a genius..

Well if you like grafted plants then how about a tompato? Or however you want to call it. It grows tomatoes up top and potatoes in the soil.
