This morning I was in a hurry to get to class so I missed breakfast. I'm eating lunch right now, leftovers from last night. Food-wise, my lunch is several slices of beef tenderloin stuffed with bleu cheese, fresh oregano and homemade walnut butter, grilled over maplewood and served atop a Greek Salad* but tonight I'm cooking pan-seared chicken breast in a pomegranate reduction sauce over wild rice with steamed asparagus on the side.
With each of meal I have a small Brioche àTête, and if I have time in the mornings I melt unsweetened chocolate and pour it over the brioche.
For drinks, I have a bottle of sparkling water at the table at all times, if it's breakfast, I use it to dilute orange juice, or other juices if I feel like it (with a ratio of 1 part juice and 3 parts sparkling water) because a full glass of any juice has so much sugar in it. At lunch I have plain sparkling water, and at dinner, I have a glass for the water and a tumbler for the organic stevia-sweetened soda I make at home.
At about three everyday I sit down and have tea. Usually it's a tea I buy at the locally owned tea shop called "Mauritius" which is a ground black tea with Mauritius vanilla blended in. Sometimes I'll have a small steamed English pudding with my tea as well.
Also, I have no formal culinary training. I was offered a paid internship in the kitchen at the Four Seasons in Whistler, British Columbia when I was 14, but it would have required relocation to Canada, and acquiring a work visa and since I was 14 there's all that parental jazz that would accompany that, and since I was on vacation at the time, I had to reluctantly decline. However, many of my female friends get mad at me because I will, quote: "Be a better wife" then them and will "make women everywhere look bad." Okay, tangent over.
