Not new in 2015 but ...

I'm sharing this with you because, even if the acceptance is there, there is this utter fear that you're going to interpret someone you love's reaction wrongly... Basically it's all a trust issue.
Admirable though.

The follow up to this viral video was when the twins were invited to talk on Ellen's show:

In my opinion,
1 - I wouldn't come out to a relative over the phone or any forms of media
2 - I wouldn't do it for youtube
3 - Again, my opinion, this is stupid as fuck

We now live in a digital era where views, likes and positive/negative online comments dictate how a person can feel, act and wanting more to feed ones self esteem.

To me, this video is just an online publicity stunt.

Ok that's cute I suppose, but I was starting to get really pissed of at those guys..

If that was me at the other end of the line they would have gotten hung up on.

Honestly...the patience this man has...

However. . I don't think they did it FOR YouTube. . I think the idea of an audience was the motivator.

~> Not sure if they realized it but . A family matter should have been just about family..
Not the twins , dad, and 20,000 initial viewers.

^^^^

~>It's becoming a stereotypical standard. .
But ..
I think we are all caught up in this trend.

To me, this video is just an online publicity stunt.

~> Not 100% so ( I believe )
But..
If the brothers had an ignorant dad that wouldn't have been so accepting. .

They wouldn't have made that video.

Overall I think the video might have motivated a few..if not many to come out to their parents ..

But doing it on YouTube?
I wouldn't throw my folks on camera 'During'..
