Maybe it'll make the Chinese authorities think about more stringent safety rules. You'd also think that maybe there should be fewer really large industrial complexes where something could possibly go wrong. The Chinese tend to have that sense of the gigantic (of course, their population is over a billion, so they've got lot of people to cater for). Smaller may be a better guarantee for safety.
