Hey Chris, you didn't mention when this happened, but you have 72 hours to get on PEP after exposure to HIV for it to be effective to prevent infection. So if you are in that window, take action NOW.

If it's been more than 72 hours, then the normally used test won't tell anything until a certain amount of time. But they'll explain it all to you when you go to a clinic or call the hotline.

Bridgeport:

Aids Hotline 336-AIDS

Family Services, Woodfield - Sean Cronin 475 Clinton Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06605 - (203)368-4291 - Support groups and mental health services for HIV positive gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered individuals. In addition, support services are available for people affected by HIV/AIDS.

Greater Bridgeport Mental Health Center - 1635 Central Ave., Bridgeport, CT - (203)336-AIDS - People affected by AIDS/ARC/HIV.

Southwest Community Health Center- 968 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport, CT - (203)332-3518 - Free anonymous 15 minute RAP HIV testing.

Not to scare you but I don't think those are as accurate as a laboratory blood test. I would still get one as a follow-up but you may need to wait a period for even that to be reliable.

And if that was "random unsafe butt sex," JESUS CHRIST DON'T EVER FUCKING DO THAT AGAIN!

HIV is a lot more treatable now but even those meds have side effects. They can fuck up your face and worse.
