Ok, I nailed half the process of producing a recombinant protein from scratch....on my first try!

Now that the most important check point is behind me, all that's left is cloning the gene into the expression vector, transform it into a proper E. coli strain and start making grams of that shit!

I knew a musician several years ago who used something similar to "Mic Mechanic" which greatly improved his voice when singing... It had a reverb sound that created an echo effect. It worked wonders for him......

i was thinking of trying something like that. Running my voice threw effects that is. But my father once said you can not polish a turd.

Sometimes it's just little things that make a day. Today in London the temperature has dropped from the 15º/16ºC that we have been experiencing and the weather itself is variable; windy, sometimes some rain, sunny spells and I have been watching with considerable pleasure, the birds feeding at the feeder in the garden. I have seen a variety of tits that I am not ornitholigist enough to be able to name, two turtle doves, two wood pigeons, two beautiful magpies, two also beautiful jays, robins, blackbirds. It's just a delight to watch.

Today was one of those days. I may post about it later, and post a picture of the lake I went to as well. I just stood at the edge of the dock watching the waves. They always seemed to calm me while everything else fades away. It's dumb, but I felt like crying, and I haven't done that sense my grandparents who raised me passed. Wondering if the day would ever come when I would be standing there, and my guy would come up and put his arms around me or if I would just fade away entirely. Sorry, really sorry. Just a bad day.
