Placing bets on which player will come out of the closet next is a cruddy way for gamblers to exploit someones sexuality. We are NOT some inanimate object to speculate on, it's dehumanizing.....

Honestly? I couldn't care less. People have bet on worse things and have done since the dawn of assembly.

Every once in a while sporting underdogs win and bookies get completely hosed. Bookies mitigate this by taking bets on absaloutely anything to do with sports that isn't the sport itself.

It's automatic and thoughtless so I'm not offended. Though it is insensitive.
