I noticed in several of the buildings he photographed that the bones of the buildings still looked good. Just the paint & plaster were deteriorating, most likely caused by moisture.
I particularly enjoyed the picture of that large machine that looked sort of like a Ferris wheel. I believe it was a digging device for removing earth. It's spectacular because of it's immense size.
