Looking is my favorite part of getting blood drawn.

Haha I got the shivers just reading that!

Maybe I need a hunky male nurse to help me with my phobia.

I only look once they've got the needle in, I just hate it when they suck at drawing blood and it looks like I got punch in the arm for two weeks... I only freak out if there's a lot of blood...and thankfully the last time I saw a lot of blood was after I crashed my bike when I was 12...

That has a lot to do with the skill of the nurse.

I have had my blood drawn 4 times this last semester for experiments at work (lol) and the girl who did it who is a nurse friend of mine barely left a mark where the needle went in. Before that, a proffessor did it, like a year ago, for the same reasons, again, he didn't left any mark except the little point where the needle went in.

Yep, indeed. The last time I had any blood tests done I didn't feel it go in but still had some bruising, which I suspect is normal...

I generally don't mind having my blood taken (I've even donated blood before), unless they can't find a vein, and are there prodding and squeezing the area for longer than necessary. Thankfully, that doesn't generally happen often, but once it did and I felt a little queasy.

Not sure if I would try DMT, the worst I've done was pot, never did any psychedelics.
I don't totally agree with that analogy either. But we all know that maps are to territories as analogies are to the world. Its the same thing as saying the name of the thing is not the thing named.

As for DMT... no, not for the faint of heart. But wild as the hype is, the reality is far wilder. (Unlike most things in our world, that's generally true of all the psychedelics.) One should not play around with these substances without knowledgeable guidance.

I think the subject matter is quite interesting and I think I have watched the documentary on DMT, "DMT The Spirit Molecule."

Not to go off topic but makes me think about meditation, I've never been able to meditate...mostly due to not being able to get comfortable or able to quiet my mind... not sure if anyone knows of any tips/tricks on getting to that point. I'm sure meditation wouldn't hurt me at all, be nice to clear out my mind and just not think about something for a while.

Anyway as far as DMT goes, no probably not going to be trying that anytime soon...even if the pineal gland produces it... the brain releases opiates but doesn't mean I should smoke opium either lol

I will say (and mentioned this in another thread) running 7 miles seems to get me buzzed afterwards...
