Thanks for posting that Londoner.

All my past doggies live on in my memories of them. That,,, and their pictures on the walls that remind me of all the wonderful times we had together.

One of the most charming depictions of a dog I have ever seen was this beautiiful painting by Gerrit Dou who was a pupil of Rembrandt. I have absolutely no doubt that if this were an English painting it would be a dog with big brown sad eyes, typical of British sentimentality. In this painting Dou just paints it as it is. If you were able to enlarge this image you would be able to see that the dog isn't really asleep, it has one eye half open. The painting is extraordinarily small measuring something like 20" X 10" only.

One day, I hope I can have a Corgi or Golden Retriever.

I don't have a dog but I used to play with 2 German Shepherds every morning. Fun time.
