I'm sorry about your 'mum' (I say mummy but people think that's weird - but I would feel weird about saying 'mum' without inverted commas). I know a few people around my age whose mothers have died in the past year or two but, after a while, they're out and about, doing normal things again and functioning. Me mam said that it's always weird going to her father's anniversary mass every year and he's been dead for 30 years. I suppose it's different for everyone but I get the impression that the initial sting goes away after a while, even if it doesn't get any less strange. You can always come on here. Some of us will always be here since we couldn't cut it in the real world so we had to retreat to the bowels of the internet for company.
