Insertnamehere Wrote:Again, work out at home, dude.

I actually don't like working out at home... I mean I do...but my dad smokes indoors, there's mold and dust...makes it hard to breathe...

Do what you can, then, within a hostile environment. It happens.

@Axle, can you get to the high school gym? There might be a pick up basketball game to get you moving.
Emiliano, maybe de Blasio can work out something with Bellevue. They let him know how many frozen tramps they are admitting and when it reaches a certain point he can close things down. Then they can blame it all on the tramps. Good politics, right?

Ah, the days of living in Massachusetts are behind. These big storms are a thing of the past for me.
Now I just live in fear of a tornado picking me up and throwing me 10 miles up the road. It's so exciting!

Do they close the gym intentionally?...or can no one get to it?

I go to Anytime Fitness which is open 24/7 365 days a year and there is no staff..your key buzzes you in and out..they are everywhere and your key is good at any of them...

Do you have one of those around?

It wouldn't help much though if it was impossible to get to it....

Two feet? Seriously? That's all?? I don't mean to say its "nothing" but, beegeebitz, I guess the weather people have to make it sound HUGE to justify their salaries? IDK...

Meanwhile, the Truckee / Lake Tahoe area of California gets snows like this on a fairly regular basis (when we're not in a drought).

Their record snow was 1969, up to 13' in some areas.

I think what is so bad about the relatively minor snow storms on the east coast is that its hitting densely populated urban areas. 10 inches on a country road can be handled a little differently than 10 inches on 6th ave.

Well that is true and in my area there's lack of salt, equipment and hills, curves make it way dangerous...especially for people who don't have a clue to drive in the snow...you know they flunked physical science in middle school...

One thing I notice about the challenger with it being heavy and being performance oriented, have to be very graceful with the gas or you'll end up sideways... Didn't have any trouble last night and didn't want any either, but could tell that going too fast or too hard on the brakes would end me up sideways... I did the resist the temptation to find a parking lot lol

As to how long it will last, it depends on what happens next. Last year we got 6" of snow and then a few days later it rained and froze. The result was a material like ceramic that laughed at the shovel when you tried to break it. They should make space shuttle tiles out it. Anywhere that hadn't already been shoveled stayed as it was for weeks because it never got warm enough to melt it.
