It may be used afer the event as a power plant. That would justify a lot of he cost. And with all of the other stuff it does it could be a tourist draw.

Im very happy for Brazil to host the games..but !!!! they should asses a countrys ability to afford it first before handing it to them - at the moment there is an epidemic of mosquitos that are breeding in the vast slums of Brazil causing birth defects - If your country has the larger percentage of its population living in favelas/slums then maybe you shouldn't be spending all that money on sports
