I feel like my drawing, geography, and non verbal communication skills are good enough to be able to identify what country I was in and then identify myself as an american, if appropriate, and find out where the nearest embassy or transit hub was. If my native language were anything other than English I'm sure this would be a more difficult task, but at an airport or major train station, I could probably find someone who spoke English.
