The Moron’s Case For Hillary Clinton…because some of you really are that stupid.
An old colleague and I were having breakfast this morning when he looked up at the news (I can’t remember which network …MSNBC, I think) and noticed a split screen of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. He lamented long about how terrible both candidates are in this election and I guess we just have to choose the lesser of the two evils or, as he put it, “…put on a blindfold and just pick. It doesn’t really make any difference.†And that’s when I went off. I am really sick and tired of people saying both candidates are equally horrible choices, how much America thoroughly hates both of them to the core, that there’s not a single positive trait in either one of them and wow, if only we had voted for that guy behind the deli counter or the neighbor’s cat, America would be WAY better off. Fuck you. Fuck the deli guy and fuck your neighbor’s cat. There are only 2 candidates who stand any mathematical chance of prevailing in this year’s election and one of them is, in fact, eminently qualified to become the 45th President of the United States, perhaps more so than any of the other 44 previous office holders. She (that’s right…SHE) has been dedicated to public service in one capacity or another since 1971. Her accomplishments are tremendous. To name a few (edited from the list once provided by Daily Kos for space): https://thecontrarianblogger.com/2016/08...at-stupid/

Well I would like to hear what Gary Johnson has to say, I think he should be in the debate. It is very very very unlikely that he has a shot but I am tired of the same old garbage I've been seeing since I've cared enough to follow the news at any capacity.
I will not under any circumstance vote for Trump but my vote for Hillary isn't quite dedicated. I don't know who I am going to vote for but I know who I am not voting for.

OK, CD, it is time we came to terms on this. I know there are some things we don't agree on and that is all right with me, but here I must differ. I DON'T like cats. Neither for fondling nor fucking do I like cats. I learned way back in Junior high school [remember when it was called that?] that cats do not have brains and that most of the crazy things they do are because they have, instead of brains, a system of ganglia that fire at odd times and make their owners (the cats) do odd things. They scratch and eat things from small cans that smell like they have been in those small cans way, way, way too long. So whatever you want to do with them is fine with me though you are now warned: They make very disturbing noises while fucking.
Now to consider the deli guy. THAT is another matter. He is young, very polite, washes his hands a lot and carries a nicely sliced salami. I asked him for a taste the other day and he brought out a thing that must have been two FEET long. Very nice, indeed and just salty enough with a fine, complex flavor and the perfect amount of spice. Firm, too. I'm taking him out for an egg cream next Tuesday and we'll talk about his future. So that settles that. Now as for the politics, we agree 100 per cent. She's a hard working person who will try to do a good job. She's maybe a little more conservative that some members of her party, but the times are what they are. She might be a bit better looking for the cameras, but have you looked at Eleanor Roosevelt lately? Mother Teresa? Harriet Tubman? They got things done, didn't they? And experience: 45 years, much of it being disliked by some of the most despicable partisans in modern history. That is proof she can deal with despots, dictators and shysters because she already has and right here at home at that. Gutsy, driven, smart and knows how to work. Sounds like a pretty good choice to me. The other guy, in my book, doesn't have a clue. He does have more colors than a chameleon in a Christmas Shop. He does know how to get a crowd of prejudiced people excited, but I imagine that a few Detroiters are wondering why he needs a script to be conciliatory and tolerant. I have no trouble seeing why the Latinos I know--the ones who are working three jobs so they can send money home to their families--are not fond of him. I can recognize a bully when I see one. I have worked all my life and paid my bills. I have never gone bankrupt as a business strategy nor do I see why anyone else should. Housing discrimination is wrong and those who practice it should not get away with it. Not at all. My family respected education and never, ever would have called something a school of any sort that was simply run to make money. Perhaps most of all, it is simply beyond me how someone can expect me to think that while he is "really, really rich" yet lacking in basic integrity he is qualified to represent me in front of the rest of the world.
I bid NO Trump!

On thing that I don't understand happening is when one side tries to make the candidate from the other side appear "elite" specifically in regards to education.
I remember when Obama was running and republicans were saying he was "elite" and had an "elite" education and therefore was not like the "common" man. I don't know about you, but I want my president to be smarter than me. I want him to be better educated than me, and to handle himself differently than I do. Since when is being better educated a bad thing? |
