Interesting, Beaux, but a little bit like apples and oranges. The post-WWII years were a very different economy from the last 30-35 years...much more geared to manufacturing and recovery and not like the service economy of more recent times. It is angst over this that is driving a large part of Trump's Fear Engine. Things just aren't the same and they never will be again. It is not easy for my generation to face and it certainly can't be for those who will have to face it longer than I will. We live in a new world. Whether it is a brave one is something that we are all tasked with determining.

I've resisted on commenting on this topic, as I'm not American and don't understand the politics;

However, we had a radio podcast today about it on at work, and it seems like Trump will probably win

And the America will suffer. Or so said the presenter.

Tho really, everyone complained about Barack and now even worse is to come.

Perhaps America needs a new system of institution? Or a new something, cause damn.

Do you remember the podcast/source?
All the polls and things Ive heard have Hilary winning by over 10%... But then again the same people who say that are the ones who never would have imagined him getting this far to begin with.

The fact that he is this far is an embarrassment to this country, in my eyes. But if he wins... I dont know. What a fucking mess. And just what he has brought to the surface here too...Even he if doesnt win, im still grossed out by the people in this country and how many who seriously did want him for president.

Of course not hunny, you know how I am with boring things! Cat3

It's one of the local stations and it was an American man being interviewed, as he is in politics or some shit and he figures due to some Male issue or the other, he's forecast to win or atleast garner high preference.

But I lost track, because they started saying Republican and Democrats and other words I don't understand Sheep .

You'll find my dear, that I am quite blasé about things if they aren't interesting;

But I'll admit, hearing his name in that sort of connotation, was pretty interesting.

I just hope America gets somebody good for once.

Perhaps after George Washington, did the government begin to go downhill? I feel Catmilk

After brexit I don't have a clue any more about the world. Generally UK and US politics follows very closely. So I'm just hoping it's following to closely this time.

Well we have had good presidents. Lincon, Kennedy, FDR, etc...

I think the problem the US started began in 1913...

The US needs to go on a Vacation or something, tho not to my island, we already have America's Cup next year, but America has too much problems within it's own infrastructure.

And for such a developed and important global nation, it really can't afford to be lackadaisical.

"Laksydaisy" as we say.
