George visits regularly every morning to ask for his ration of peanuts. He perches on a garden chair just outside the French doors and it's got to the stage that when I open the door he doen't fly away and thus I was able to get this shot this time not through the glass. As usual it was taken with my little Canon P&S on auto.

I recently learned about pigeon milk. Both male and female pigeons produce a cheesy milky substance in a sack in their throats that their babies feed on. Apparently it's kind of similar to mammalian milk. Which is either cool or disgusting depending on how you feel about pigeons I guess.

Interesting fact Emiliano but why should one be disgusted by something occuring naturally?

Pity you don't have a photo of the lady in question so we could see for ourselves.

Pigeons are much underrated. They're not just rats with wings but really quite intelligent and recent research shows that when homing, they actually follow roads!
