I decided to go on a hike today. Really have been wanting to go up on a fire tower, well I got pretty close. Hiked up about 2 miles near the Appalachian Trail...I thought I was on the AT but I ended up on a more direct, steeper trail. Thought I would share a few of the pictures...but I also would like to invite everyone to share their photos.

These are taken on top of Wessler Bald about 4600 ft in elevation.

Thanks. I'm glad they turned out as well as they did, it was pretty hazy today. It would be nice on a clear fall day. There's a few days out of the year that are exceptionally clear...I'll have to borrow my friend's telephoto lens.

Beautiful photos Axle.
I have an interest in photography as well. Haven't invested in a DSLR as yet though. I use my phone for the time being as it's much easier to carry around.

I haven't really been doing a lot of photography these days, primarily because I'm in need of a new camera and just can't afford it, yeah? Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up again soon. Here's some of my most recent stuff.

I haven't been hiking but this is a shot taken through the double glazed window of the kitchen. She's a frequent visitor to the garden and usually comes for dinner although on this occasion she peered at me through the French doors begging for breakfast.

The photo I posted was far too small and this, I hope, is a slightly larger version:

Great shot. Never have seen a fox up close, unless it was running across the road... However I am curious about what it may have said :p

That's easy: "Where's my breakfast?"
