axle2152 Wrote:Well LONDONER I haven't done any patterns and such but I did go hang with a friend of mine and got a few good shots with my phone...still haven't finished the last roll of film... Once I get the film done I think I will consider making a video on how to develop C41 film with the kit I use. I think it would be helpful for those who well want to dabble in film.

Anyway...

Nice shots axle2152, lovely colours in the first one,

Well something new for me which is photography via a drone...

It's a little washed out as I didn't adjust the exposure, was more concerned about piloting the thing... For the curious it is a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced.

More drone footage... I'm getting better!

Watch all of these in 1080p 60 fps...

They're a lot of fun. Definitely need an open area to practice with. I have had 2 drones (this being my 2nd). The first drone I had was a very cheap one that worked off my Bluetooth off my phone and was very difficult to fly due to delays and the limited range of Bluetooth (30 feet on a good day). So the cheap ones while they can be fun to fly inside or around the yard they can spoil the hobby too because they tend to be much harder to fly since most will be without GPS. On the other hand having a cheap one will do two things, one is that you will be better at piloting a drone and 2nd is that if you enjoy it you will not have spent a lot of money on something that you either won't use or crash right when you get it.

What ever kind of drone you get if it weighs more than 1/2 lb (up to 55 lbs) you have to register it with the FAA and there's a good bit of regulations with drones, even on the state and local level. So you'll have to do some research. In my case, kind of lucky being in a rural area as I don't have to worry too much other than the FAA regulations, the state has a few and a some loopholes. Like one of the loopholes is that if there is a high risk of a terrorist attack I can in that case use my drone for surveillance, otherwise using a drone to spy or use it for surveillance is illegal. Anyway most of the rules make good sense so I won't go into all that, it's really not too big of a deal.

I think the gimble needs a little adjusting, shouldn't have been skewed like that, although that sort of stuff is hard to pick up when you're piloting the thing.
