Death
#11
Being young. I don't fear death. I seen it enough in my life and that's maybe a reason I don't need to be tied down with someone. If I ever get a bf. It will be with someone who's young and energetic. No point winding up with someone who keeps me from enjoying my life or I will wind up looking after someone and I don't wanna be doing that. My family are non existent due to the fact they disowned me. I don't need their burden

Well I think everyone feels that way when they're young and had it not been for me having been to the ER for thankfully nothing but a panic attack I would probably feel the same way.

I think it is a the realization that things are passing by faster than we realize. That we aren't alive as long as we think.

Says you're 20, so assuming you live to be 80, that's 20% of your life... possibly more...or less.

Me, it is almost like I would want to live forever, which clearly not possible but to think about not existing is impossible to fully grasp and well I find it troubling. Kind of scary if you ask me.

I'm finding it more important to experience things...I feel like by doing things, new things, exciting things validates my existence... Should it? I mean if all we get is 75...85 years and then poof might as well not sit on my ass wishing I had done something.

i don't have death in me. i don't know what it is. everything i am is intensely alive. i am made of Life and i know no other existence.

when i die, i will no longer exist. thus, i will never come to know death. death and me, we're incompatible with each other. when death comes, i will no longer be alive to become acquainted with it, and as long as i am alive death does not exist.

death awaits us all, no one has ever been to the grave and back... the only ones who ever did never told us what lies beyond ..

Some day, it will happen. That's just the way it is.

I have been suicidal throughout a huge portion of my somewhat short life. Although I'm not any longer (thanks to medication, ongoing treatment with a good therapist, and Gideon's support), I never actually developed a fear of death to "cope with".

I see death as a release, of sorts. True peace, finally found and achieved. The experience of dying on my kitchen floor during a home invasion, and subsequent resuscitation, only reinforced my feelings in this regard.

I also have the necessary paperwork in order. This includes life insurance, and a will that outlines what to do with my assets as well as how I would like my body disposed of.

On the other hand, I -have- found that I've developed an issue with death over the past couple of years. It has to deal with leaving Gideon behind when I eventually pass. I know he will be devastated, and the thought of the pain he would go through tears me up on the inside.

As for my opinion of what happens after? I'm a firm believer in reincarnation.

I love you, man. I need you...and we both know I can't fucking -breathe- without you. Just the way it is and the way it always will be.

Mine. For always. I'm NOT letting go. And we've had too damn many close calls not to know for CERTAIN that letting go in any capacity is not an option.

death is inevitable. find joy in your life! and live w/o regrets.
life is too short to be unhappy, miserable, and full of regret.

just do it!

I've been afraid of dying since I was 6 years old. Today, I really do think that death is the end of everything. What I have also thought up is that life has no rhyme or reason to it, only what you want to make out of it. Fears are always going to be there, but they shouldn't stop us from achieving or at least trying what we really want.

I think there's several things that "erk" me about death...the uncertainty of consciousness, thoughts about not being able to do all the things I want or will want to do and of course there is the wonder about the religion aspect.

I'm not sure what to really believe, I wasn't raised going to church or had much direction in that area, everything I have ever wondered has come from other people and myself... I do have a hard time buying what religions are selling... I see them to be more of forms of controlling populations. OTOH, there might be something to a lot of it too.
