Interesting how Al Pacino has had these roles of queer characters (or passing for queer, or being perceived as queer). He did a bloody good job.

Those three films would have been a very brave career move, at the time. He then went on to polish his straight man's image with more great movies (Scarface, the Godfather, Sea of Love ?)
