That awkward moment...
#11
Was actually commiserating in person with a guy who was saying, nobody will talk to you unless you trade nudes or dick shots, or want to hop in bed with them.

I feel his pain...

It's difficult finding clean chat or friends online, no matter what the social venue.

He probably didn't mean anything bad, and your reaction was out of proportion to what happened.

First of all I didn't find my reaction out of proportion. Since it's stereotyping. Second it's not simply a person I never met it was a person that happens to be good friends with my friends. Also yes he said sorry but that doesn't change the fact how I felt about it. I simply was glad to hear from him but suddenly the only reason he was texting with me for 2 hrs was to see my nude pics. And when he realised that aint happening. "Goodnight" poof...

There's your mistake right there.

Granted, this may only be noticeable in hindsight.

Mistake towards this person, yes.
But that's just my kind of humor, I would've said that to anyone. Besides I assumed since he has a boyfriend and I have a boyfriend he'd know I was joking. Also in our chat when he explained that he'd exchange pics with guys when it's not going well and when he had a few drinks. I told him that I can't do that to my bf, even if our situation is bad, I would make sure it's done between us before I do anything that would hurt his feelings..

^ Yes, that's why I pointed out you can only notice it in hindsight.

In any case, he was drunk and like some drunk people do, they blur out the true colors. Now you know what kind of person he is.

I think what Insertnamehere was getting at was that he might have seen that as an invitation, although I am like you I have a similar sense of humor.

That is unfortunately true, the alcohol removes the veil and you can find out with fairly good accuracy how someone feels about things. Now I can't say I have never said something stupid, out of line or something I shouldn't have but I do tend to hold my character pretty well and I know my limits too.
