Well legally an employer can cancel your annual leave providing they have given you satisfactory notice, usually the same amount of notice for the time you had requested off, e.g. 2 weeks notice if you had booked 2 weeks off. If you haven't made plans then I'd probably offer to change my annual leave, but if there are cost implications to changing your holiday then I would let my employer know and ask that they cover this cost.
