Would you date a Disabled person.
#51
InBetweenDreams has many points I think. I really do not know why we're like this. We pay attention to cover mora than we do to what's inside. I personally talked to a disabled guy, which didnt work (not because of disability).

But I personally care about face beauty too much. Honestly, I dont even know how I should feel about it. Guilty, or accepting myself as I am. I dont know.

but my weak point is that I care about appearance (face beauty). I dont even know how to feel about this, guilty or accepting myself as I am. It's not something that I choose to be. Of course, personality is the most important, but even when we buy a chocolate, we first check the cover (I'm not saying that's the right thing). So we sometimes cannot help it. I'm easily attached to some guys than others too. But I wish we could be totally isolated with appearances and just look at personality.

My guess it is human nature to belong to a group of some sort. We're judgemental by nature, for good or the bad... If you ask me the whole thing about liking someone for their personality is only half true, if you're not attracted to them sexually, chances are, probably not going to turn into a relationship...

Oh and I can read what you posted in my email when you quote me but since your post is held in moderation for having less than 50 posts it doesn't appear here...well other than my quoting you.

I think everybody has a weak point rather than only sexual attachment. For example, I could be with a fat guy, if he has good look and smile. Because my weak point is face. some others maybe have weak point for body, while others have for personality.

I know many things like this. A very beautiful girl is sometimes with a very ugly man. and they look very happy. Maybe she likes his humor, or maybe romantism. I wouldnt be able to make a clear cut definition about this.

No. I'm a slim submissive bottom into bigger, stronger, dominant guys who make me feel protected.
How would that even work with a disabled man?

Depends on what you call disabled? It's a loaded question. For instance the OP posted about his disability, which I knew nothing about at the time. I looked into it and I wouldn't see it as a reason to not date someone.

The other question that came up in this thread was say your big buff sexy boyfriend you have that you very much love is in a car wreck, breaks his back, in a wheelchair, most likely unable to walk the rest of your life...

Not saying whatever answer you have is wrong but I do find human nature to be interesting on how we answer both those questions...

Not sure if your question is rhetorical or not, but I'll answer that. I am certain there are indeed gay men with a disability who are bigger and stronger than you, and dominant. You just haven't met one to understand how that would work.

I have no idea who this guy is or even if he's gay, but dang he sure looks good to me.

I tried quoting you guys but it shows me different RomanticMan comments o_O this site lol.

Anyway, it must be as you say, Camfer: there is a way to make it work and I just couldn't picture it, probably because all the disabled guys I ever met were ugly/wimpy/unattractive/uninteresting as f***. I sure as hell wouldn't say no to a guy like that one, expecially if he had a bit more leg/body hair( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

If my bf had an accident and couldn't walk anymore? I would stick with him.

Marcus Auto draft, gets me every time, it is handy if you got a long post to write but sometimes it doesn't want to let go...

I think most people when they here disabled, they're not thinking of Camfer 's example, or artyboy 's case... I think people generally get the terminal idea...

I have a female friend who is dating (online, hasn't met) someone who has liver cancer. She wants to get get married and have kids with this guy. Not an expert here but even all these plans she has work out, moves out there with him and everything is peachy there's a reasonable chance he won't be around to see his kids... Glancing at liver cancer the survival rate is kind of grim....and it is sad but there are people willing when they're in love with someone.

There are *good* people out there but like panning for gold you often come up empty handed...and fools gold is all around....

That's awesome, Marcus. Now you've got an open mind for when you meet a guy who might have some disability. We all have different abilities, so when does some aspect become a disability? It's not so black and white. You might have already met a guy with a partially amputated leg and never even known it unless he chose to tell you or you saw him take his pants off. He could wear a prosthesis that was so good you'd never even suspect it.

I'm so colorblind that sometimes I have a hard time at a traffic light if the sun is shining on it. One of the rainbow colors used on this site is invisible to me. Is this a disability? I think it is. But I don't go around saying I'm disabled.

I was once traveling in California and stopped in a bar. I met an entire basketball team of guys in the bar, every one of them in a wheelchair. They'd just got done with a game and were having a beer just like everyone else. These guys had totally jacked upper bodies from weight training and sprinting around on basketball courts using their arms to get around. They were fun to hang out with. They were living their lives to the best of their abilities. That's all any of us can do.
