Berlin July 1945
#1
This footage shows what it was like to walk around Berlin in July of 1945. Germany had just surrendered and World War II was finally over. Life as usual appears to go on for many in spite of the destruction all around.

I wonder how long it took for the German soldiers to be allowed to go home, were they mustered out, I assume their money was worthless, was there some of of relief program so they didnt starve? I know the Russians held some as late as 1956.
